The guys in the gallery were nice enough to offer me a place on a Studio Photography and Portraiture Workshop taking place over the next couple of weeks. Now, I have no photography training and I'm really just an amateur, so this is a great opportunity to learn some new skills. Here's a few shots from the workshop so far.

Dublin in November

I really like this time of year. It's getting darker in the evenings and the skies turn some outragous colours just before the sun goes down. People are more weary when they go home in the evenings, Christmas is coming and money is tight. Its a dreary melancholy; I like it, and I took this snap while walking across the ha'penny bridge the other evening. The colour of the sky, the lines of traffic, the tranquility of the Liffey, it all sums up how I feel about November in Dublin.

Dublin Docklands Festival
I managed to make it to the Docklands this weekend to get a few sketches done and take a few pictures of some of the ships they had on show. It was a shame about the weather, but it didn't seem to hold people back from having a good time. Plenty of food and drinks available, toilets, bins and loads to keep the kids happy! Was a really great event, and I picked up a second hand Tashen Book of Illustrators for a tenner!
