Marilyn Postcard

This was part of a project called Postcards From Alphaville. I chose to do a series of postcards in the theme of Some Like It Hot, one of my favourite films. Here's the first, of Marilyn Monroe. Its done using Illustrator and Photoshop, which I don't praticularly like using. Anyway, I hope to get the others, of the late great Tony Curtis and Jack Lemmon, done and up soon.

Flying Angel

K, I'm on a bit of an angel buzz I guess. Had nothing to do in Comics today so banged this little doodle out, pretty happy enough apart from that wonky leg, and maybe the material, but watev's.

Fallen Angel

Got a goo on me last night to do this, just an idea I got when I was walking through town, seeing those lynx ads everywhere ("even angels will fall..")! Yeah I know she has no wings, but come on.

Another Productive Day...NOT!

Helen kept giving me instructions on stuff to draw during a very laborious lecture about copyrighting. So all the weird stuff was her idea....such as the viking skipping with the cat's tail.

February Life Drawing

Unfortunately, we only got an hour-long class today as we had a guest lecturer in during the day. Bummer. Ah well, got 2 things done, one's OK, the other not so much, I didn't get to finish them properly so they're just roughs. Not bad for just the hour I suppose.

Comic Style Life Drawing

Sorry for the lack of posts recently, I've been distracted shall we say! Anyway, we did some life drawing in the style if Frank Miller and Mike Mignola there a few weeks ago, because we had a big comic project due and the class found this really helpful. Was good fun!
