So for this cookbook assignment I have to practice techniques by well known artists, and I foolishly chose Chuck Close. My god, how painstakingly long it is to draw a prawn when it's been split into 21x14 tiny squares! When I started it, the initial picture just looked like a mish-mash of squares of pink and orange, but I have to say it has taken on some shape and is beginning to look like a definate prawn shape. Such a strange technique, and harder than it looks, but fun. I'll have the finished piece up soon, promise!
